The Un-dead Dragon

This was a very fun project. It was purchased shortly after I had completed it in September of 2020. I started with a couple of pieces of PVC pipe and a 18”x12” particle board. I used Aves Apoxie Sculpt to create the castle texture (about 1/8” thick over the PVC). Aluminum sculptors wire and foil were used for the armature of the dragon and Aves Apoxie Sculpt for the details. The head was actually sculpted from CosClay, similar to super sculpey except it cures to a semi-flexible rubber like consistency. LED lights were used to for the torches and the magical blue glow of the dragon.

A friend had suggested that I make it into a dice tower and so I used one of the towers for that purpose. I ran a vacuum sweeper hose down the hollow center of the tower to emerge from a side shed. Rocks were used to coral the dice.

This project took about 100 hours to complete.
